Voxhaul Broadcast
Voxhaul Broadcast
Voxhaul Broadcast, a totally DIY, unsigned rock band from Los Angeles, have been making waves lately beyond LA, where they are pretty dang popular. They were featured a number of times in NME, as well as Daytrotter, KCRW and the BBC. Still unsigned, the band stands out not just for their memorable rock and soul sound, but the fact that their MySpace page has almost one million views. However, we do know that they recently hired a big agency to book gigs for them.
Pigeon John
Pigeon John hails from sunny Southern California, Inglewood to be exact. It's easy to assume his signature blend of wit, charisma and undeniable stage presence is a fortunate gift (and it is), but let's be real. Everyone starts somewhere. Pigeon John cut his teeth in the early 90s at the legendary Good Life Cafe, spitting rhymes on the same stage with then fledgling, now established artists like Freestyle Fellowship, Kurupt, The Pharcyde and Jurassic 5. Good Life open-mic nights became PJ's ritual. It was the perfect environment to hone his performance and delivery skills amongst discerning peers.

Time at the Good Life gave way to time spent at local venues and in the studio with friends like Brainwash Projects and LA Symphony. His appearances on the underground classics, The Rise and Fall of Brainwash Project and Composition 1 from Brainwash Projects and LA Symphony, respectively, put him on the radar as one to watch.

In 2002, Pigeon John released his solo debut Pigeon John Is Clueless, selling over 11,000 copies with no distribution. He followed up with Pigeon John Is Dating Your Sister and Pigeon John Sings The Blues. The albums garnered significant praise landing him features in Spin's "Next Big Things" issue, URB's "Next 100" and Mic Check in The Source. PJ's infectious tunes have been used by XBOX for the games "Project Gotham" and "NBA Inside Drive 2002," as well as the major motion picture "Get Over It." John has also performed and appeared in print and television ads for both Levi's and Nestle Crunch.

Touring the nation 8 times over, Pigeon John has earned his veteran status, using a clever balance of self-deprecating humor and confidence to rock any crowd, any stage. His boundless energy seduces crowds making ladies swoon and fellas embrace their geek appeal.

Enamored by PJ's infectious energy and raw talent exhibited on the Cali Comm tour, Lyrics Born brought Pigeon John into the Quannum fold in 2005. His Quannum Projects debut Pigeon John And The Summertime Pool Party (his best album yet!) hits stores September 12, 2006.
Deluka
Deluka
Hailing from Brooklyn via Birmingham UK, Deluka generates a perfect storm of fluid electronic beats and hailing rock riffs, pulsating bass and breathtaking vocals.  With electric and fearless front woman Ellie Innocenti at the helm, Deluka made early impressions on UK indie music bible NME and trendsetting culture magazine Dazed and Confused, who were among the first to tip the band, catching the attention of Brooklyn’s VEL Records who inked a deal with Deluka in 2009.  The band then relocated to Brooklyn where they spent the following year writing, recording and touring. Their debut album You Are The Night, was released at the end of 2010 on Vel / RED Records and boasts first single “Cascade,” which spent 9 weeks on the Top 100 Alternative Chart and landed Deluka in the MTVu Freshman 5 which highlights the most promising of emerging new talent.  Their second single, “OMFG” was released in early 2011 and has been running up the alternative chart a music video directed by John Pina of the Skinnys directing team. Deluka’s music can currently be heard in ad campaigns including GM and VH1.

Praise for Deluka:

“Think Karen O plus some bubbly pop on top of the grittiness.” – Paper

“Ellie Innocenti is the next balls-out sex symbol front woman, right up there with the likes of The Duke Spirit’s Liela Moss, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O, and Metric’s Emily Haines.” – Venuszine

“Female fronted, attitude laced electro tunes.” – Filter

“Disco- Electro- Indi- New Wave a la early Duran Duran.” – Women’s Wear Daily

“Helmed by lead singer Ellie Innocenti, the band mixes shimmering electronics with traditional rock 'n' roll aggression to create a sound both familiar and uniquely their own.” – OUT

“The guys and girl from Deluka are known for tearing up dance floors” - CMJ
Epilogues
Epilogues
After their formation in 2004, the long time friendship of front man, Chris Heckman and keyboardist, Nate Hammond had set the foundation for the band’s enormous energetic and emotional response. After adding drummer Jason Hoke in 2006, the trio became a tightly wound group creating a shock in the Denver music scene. In early 2007, bassist Jeff Swoboda was added, creating an unbridled impact in the band’s songwriting and performing abilities. Together, as the epilogues, they have developed a sound and method that captures audiences everywhere. They’ve expanded their sound, taking chances and continuously driving themselves to improve and innovate. It is hard to find a band that genuinely loves every part of what they do, and that translates to the stage. They employ heart and emotion into every show and they play as if it were their last. And that is what makes all the difference…
Vampires Everywhere!
Vampires Everywhere!
Vampires Everywhere! ... This story is set in Los Angeles, Calif., circa 2009. The night hit the windows with the fervor of a tormented 6-year-old faced with the idea of sharing his prized, new gift.

It was probably seventy degrees outside, and yet the house was frozen. I was entertaining several murderous ideas that were swimming around my mind and my brain was certainly feeling the brunt of that strain. I attempted to clear my thoughts and focus on something that gave way to a crooked smile on my face. A smile I hadn't seen since my youth, compelled by our generation's explanation of our condition, set to sound: motion pictures. One feature, in particular, has haunted me since I was of age to pronounce blood: "The Lost Boys." Like the characters, I have also always considered myself lost and trapped within a world that only embraces its own. This movie embodies everything I stand for: anarchy, vampires, youth, love & revenge.

Since revenge fueled and fulfilled me, this movie fit like a glove and I began to drift off to a place comprised with everything that made me happy and pure. I was a step closer to discovering myself, my purpose. In order to bridge such a beautiful gap, I was forced out into creation to find those damned souls, like me, who found pieces of themselves in misery, loathing and self-destruction. My own coven of darkness.

These individuals embraced their potential insanity, and we found comfort in one another's uncertainty. The Los Angeles lost souls, Aaron Graves and Zak Night, brought their free spirits and aggressive musical style into my new coven. They created the background of sound that fueled the fire within me. J Killa, unfulfilled by Pittsburgh blood, joined my army, bringing his venomous keyboard tones and synth-driven vocals that proved to be the amplification our brotherhood needed. He provided the coveted pop I thirsted for in my destruction. Alex & David Hernandez completed the group during our brief stint in Florida. The blood brothers added the bass & percussion to complete the sound of Vampires Everywhere!

The crew was hungry with an insatiable thirst capable of destroying an unforgiving crowd. My vision of darkness had found completion in this group oh loving, hating, hungry and undeniably talented, loyal followers. The mood was now set for a revolution in music.

Love and a .38
Love and a .38
Love and a .38 is a four-piece hard rock band based out of Los Angeles, CA. They formed in the fall of 2008 and began packing venues shortly thereafter in the spring of 2009. Since then, they have quickly gained notoriety in the Hollywood rock scene, playing to capacity crowds at Sunset staples like The Viper Room, The Roxy Theatre and The Key Club. Love and a .38 has maintained a strong online presence, as evidenced by Total Rock Radio (UK) acknowledging them as one of the top ten best unsigned bands of 2009.

Thus far in 2010, the band was dubbed the Los Angeles representative for Hard Rock Café's "Ambassadors of Rock." In early 2010 they completed their self-titled debut EP, mixed by Grammy Award winning engineer Shawn Sullivan. The five song album gives distinctive nods to their classic rock sensibilities and punk influences but has a decisively modern edge. Throwback guitar solos intersect with anthemic hooks in a way that is both familiar and refreshing amongst the current me-too rock radio soundscape. Hundreds of fans arrived at The Roxy Theatre on May 8th to celebrate the album's release. That show earned them glowing reviews in several industry publications, and gave them lots of momentum as they move forward promoting their increasingly attention-grabbing EP.
